Crawford, Murphy & Tilly

2025-2026 ECKC President

The Engineer’s Club of Kansas City is proud to uphold our mission, which is to “promote social networking within the Kansas City area engineering community and to perpetuate our profession through Scholarship Assistance to the coming generation of engineers.” For over 100 years, we’ve proudly fulfilled that mission by awarding more than $1 million in scholarships to local university students pursuing engineering-related degrees.

This would not be possible without the incredible generosity of engineering, construction, manufacturing, and service provider firms across the Kansas City area. Each year, your donations, sponsorships, participation, and volunteerism fuel our efforts and directly impact the future of our profession.

On behalf of the Board, we sincerely thank you as your support empowers us to support the next generation of engineers. We invite you to continue that tradition by joining us at our three major fundraising events in 2026-2027:

  • 🦐 Shrimp Bingo – Friday, February 12, 2027
  • ⛳ Spring Golf Outing – TBD
  • ⛳ Fall Top Golf Outing – TBD

Like many industry associations, we are a 100% volunteer-run organization, and we are always looking for new volunteers and future leaders. If you’re interested in joining a committee or stepping into a leadership role, please don’t hesitate to connect with any of our officers or Board members. I can personally attest that it is incredibly rewarding. Being entrusted to serve as President of the Engineer’s Club is truly one of the highlights of my career.

To stay in the loop about upcoming events and receive announcements about upcoming events, an annual membership of just $50 per year gives you early registration access for our most popular events, like Shrimp Bingo, Golf Outings, and the monthly luncheons, all of which regularly sell out.

I’d also like to recognize and thank our 2025/26 leadership team:

Officers

  • Sydney O’Brien – Vice President
  • Tom Degenhardt – Treasurer
  • Grant Zebold – Secretary

Board Members

  • Miranda Hamrick
  • Cheryl Kelley
  • Chester Bender
  • Tony O’Malley
  • John Warren

We also welcome you at our monthly luncheon series, which featuring engaging speakers and timely topics relevant to the engineering community.

On behalf of the Engineer’s Club, and especially our scholarship recipients, thank you for your continued generosity and support.

Warm regards,

Julie Jenson, PE

2025–2026 President, Engineer’s Club of Kansas City
